International Business

Learning in action

Koro Dickinson (MBA Alumnus)
Executive Officer
Chief Operations Auckland Council

The University of Auckland MBA programme offers students a unique experience, working with real companies looking to enter an overseas market, as part of the International Business paper.

During the course, students will spend a week in an international market meeting distributors, interviewing clients and undertaking observational research. This provides our students with a real insight into global business and allows them to experience real problems and issues. On return, they present their findings and recommendations to both the course lecturers and their New Zealand business clients.

The 2016 cohort visited Shanghai, where they discovered opportunities for clients such as Tasti Foods, Best Ugly Bagels and Hallertau. Read the Shanghai trip blogs to find out more about these MBA students’ international business experience.
