Events and information sessions

Here you will find out about information sessions, MBA and Postgraduate Diploma community events, and key academic dates.


On the first Monday, of most months, we host an information evening about the programmes we offer. You will hear from teaching faculty and recent alumni about what to expect along with details about the pathways available to you.

Feel free to bring a friend, partner or colleague. Light refreshments will be provided.

Parking is available in the Sir Owen G Glenn Buildingat a $6 flat rate after 5pm. Access to the car park is via Grafton Road, opposite Stanley Street.

MBA Taster

Our half day MBA Taster will give you a taste of what you can expect during an MBA lecture session, including class discussions, case analyses and networking.

Join us for an afternoon of short sharp lectures from our world class teaching Faculty, meet recently qualified Alumni and other prospective students considering our MBA. See attached the programme from our June 2019 event. The MBA Taster costs $50 and places are strictly limited.

In Business – GSM Series

Our ‘In Business – GSM series’ is a forum for our MBA students, alumni, staff and the business community to connect, hear from inspiring business leaders and access the latest evidenced-based research from our faculty.

Alumni Club

University of Auckland MBA Alumni Club (AMBAAC)

AMBAAC was founded in 2012 by our alumni to help fellow graduates maximise the value of their MBA degrees and is governed by an independent alumni board.

AMBAAC’s objectives are:

  • Continuous learning
  • Build powerful networks
  • Contribute to the growth of the New Zealand economy

Each year AMBAAC hosts for its members workshops, case studies, masterclasses and boardroom discussions.

Graduates from the MBA programme can join AMBAAC via our online registration form. Once registered you will be invited to join the AMBAAC LinkedIn group.
